Pushing Back Software, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Autoshopz platform (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service, including when you connect third-party accounts such as Tekmetric or QuickBooks Online.
By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide

Account Information: Name, email address, company name, phone number, and billing details when you register or subscribe.

Support Communications: Information you provide when contacting us for support or submitting feedback.
Information from Third-Party Integrations
When you authorize a connection to a third-party service, we access data from that service solely to provide the functionality of our platform:

Tekmetric: Shop operational data including repair orders, invoices, customers, employees, and appointment information. This data is used to generate performance reports, dashboards, and business intelligence for your shops.

QuickBooks Online: Chart of accounts, journal entries, deposit records, and bank account information. This data is used to reconcile Tekmetric shop performance data with your accounting records and generate comparison reports.
We only access the data necessary to provide the specific features you use. We do not access data beyond the scopes you authorize during the connection process.
Information Collected Automatically

Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, timestamps, and session duration.

Device and Browser Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and device identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:

Provide, operate, and maintain the Service

Generate business performance reports and dashboards from your Tekmetric shop data

Reconcile and compare Tekmetric operational data with QuickBooks Online accounting records

Process your subscription and billing

Send transactional emails (account confirmations, billing receipts, report deliveries)

Monitor and improve the Service’s performance and security

We do not use your data to:

Sell or rent your personal information or business data to third parties

3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise share your personal information or business data with third parties except in the following circumstances:

Service Providers: We use third-party service providers to operate the Service (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery). These providers are contractually bound to use your data only as necessary to provide services to us and are subject to confidentiality obligations.

With Your Consent: We may share data when you explicitly direct us to, such as connecting a third-party integration.

Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.

Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
We do not share one customer’s QuickBooks or Tekmetric data with any other customer. Each customer’s data is isolated within our system.
4. QuickBooks Online Data Handling
When you connect your QuickBooks Online account to Autoshopz:

Authorization: We use Intuit’s OAuth 2.0 protocol. You authorize access directly through Intuit’s secure authorization page. We never see or store your QuickBooks username or password.

Data Accessed: We access your chart of accounts, journal entries, deposit records, and bank account names to perform reconciliation with your Tekmetric shop data.

Data Storage: QuickBooks data retrieved during synchronization is stored in our database to generate reports. This data is associated with your account and is not accessible to other users.

Data Use: Your QuickBooks data is used solely for reconciliation, comparison reporting, and identifying discrepancies between your shop management system and your accounting records.

Disconnection: You may disconnect your QuickBooks Online account at any time through the Autoshopz settings. Upon disconnection, we will cease accessing your QuickBooks data. You may also request deletion of previously synced QuickBooks data by contacting us.

Independent Controller: Pushing Back Software, LLC accesses and processes your QuickBooks data as an independent data controller. We do not process QuickBooks data on behalf of Intuit.
5. Data Retention

Account Data: We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you cancel your subscription, we retain basic account records for up to 12 months for billing and support purposes, after which they are deleted.

Integration Data: Tekmetric and QuickBooks data used for reporting is retained while your account is active. Upon account cancellation or disconnection of an integration, you may request deletion of this data.

Backups: Encrypted database backups may retain data for up to 30 days after deletion before being permanently purged.
6. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies for the following purposes:

Essential Cookies: Required for authentication and session management. These cannot be disabled while using the Service.

Analytics: We may use analytics services to understand how the Service is used. These tools collect anonymous usage statistics.
We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We do not share cookie data with third-party advertisers.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS)

Sensitive credentials (OAuth tokens, API keys) are encrypted at rest

Access to production systems is restricted and logged

We conduct regular security reviews of our application and infrastructure
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data using commercially reasonable measures, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Deletion: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act:

Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information. We have not sold personal information in the preceding 12 months.

10. Children’s Privacy
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
11. Links to Third-Party Websites
The Service may contain links to third-party websites (including Intuit, Tekmetric, and Stripe). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these external sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies independently.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice within the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
